  • APS Dog of the Week - Mickey

There are so many options for a Saturday night out in the Triangle, but I can't think of a better one than visiting a bunch of animals in need of a good home at the APS of Durham's Adoptions After Dark event!

This Saturday, October 27, APS of Durham is opening its doors from 6-9 p.m. so that you can meet the pet of your dreams and give him or her a forever home. And don't forget that the entire month of October is Barktoberfest--Adoption fees are half off

While you're there on Saturday, be sure to check out Mickey, the APS Dog of the Week:

    Name: Mickey

Breed/Gender: Small size mixed breed dog (best guess is Beagle/Hound/SharPei)/Male

Age: Just under a year old

Personality: Perky, playful, outgoing pup who loves everyone! He likes to chase a ball, loves his toys, and is excellent with other dogs. Mickey is looking for an active home where he’ll have lots of exercise, and kind, consistent basic training.

    APS Kennel: 39

Barley's thoughts: Well, hello there, handsome. I'm Barley. I like long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners featuring a delicious meat cake and...wait...you're a "small size" dog? Sigh...well, seeing as how I'm 75 pounds of love, I guess we might not make the perfect match, but I'm sure there are tons of people out there who would like to take this good looking dog in as their own.

Learn more about Mickey and see additional pictures on the Bull City Dogs blog. If you're interested in adopting Mickey, contact doginfo@apsofdurham.org.

To view a list of other dogs in need of a good home, visit the Adoptable Dogs section of the APS Durham website.

Already have a dog you want to spoil? Don't forget to enter the Barley's Buddies Raffle, where you could win a free bag of dog treats and give your dog 15 minutes of fame!
