Jan 11, 2013 APS Dog of the Week - Martha Looking for a new (furry) member of your family? A shelter dog could be the perfect addition (it certainly was for us)! Just take a look at Martha, this week's Dog of the Week from APS of Durham: Name: Martha Breed/Gender: Pit-MIx/Female Age: 2-3 years old Personality: Gentle and affectionate – she loves everyone! She’s quite playful and rather goofy (she likes to chase a ball and enjoys playing with her toys) and is very attentive for food treats (so she should be fun and easy to train). She’s good with other dogs. Martha will be a wonderful family companion. APS Kennel: 16 Barley's thoughts: You humans come up with funny adjectives to describe us dogs. Martha = goofy. Barley = crazy. I'm going to give you people the benefit of the doubt that these are all positive things, but if I had thumbs, I would use this "Google" thing you all talk about to be sure. As far as Martha goes, I'm going to assume that goofy means awesomely fun to be around because you sure do look like it. So come on, people, give a shelter dog a chance! Martha sounds like she could be a great addition to an active family! Learn more about Martha on the Doggy Day Camp blog or on the APS of Durham website.
