  • Win a Basket of Goodies in the Four on the Floor Raffle

We love the Triangle, and a major reason for that is because of how dog friendly the area is. So we decided as part of our "training" to get ready for the APS Walk for the Animals, we would start a new blog series called "Four on the Floor." From now until the walk on May 18, we'll roam around looking for great local businesses and ask them four questions about their love for dogs and the Triangle. Then, we'll post the answers so that you learn more about dog friendly places in the area!

Win with the Four on the Floor Raffle

We're sure you have favorite dog-friendly places in the Triangle, and we want you to share them with us! You could win this Barley's Buddies Basket, which includes two bags of Barley Labs dog treats (one peanut butter/one pumpkin), a Barley Labs t-shirt, a pint glass and a bottle opener (dog not included).

All you have to do is "Like" our Facebook page and post your answers to the Four on the Floor questions on our wall. If you win and are attending the walk, you can pick up the basket at our table, AND you'll get a special surprise gift. Click here to read the full raffle rules.

So let's start with our first Four on the Floor feature: APS of Durham! The non-profit shelter has been helping animals - nearly 7,000 stray, surrendered and abused animals each year -- in our community since 1970.

Stephanie Kirby, volunteer coordinator for APS of Durham, has been working at the shelter for about five years and answered our Four on the Floor questions:

    1. What do you love most about dogs? I love to cuddle. The big dogs who are just certain they can fit in your lap make my day shine. Pitty smiles are right up there too.

    2. What is your favorite thing to do with your dog? I love to take dogs for walks on our dog walking trail when I get a chance. Its such a peaceful area and we have a great time

    3. Favorite dog-friendly spot in the Triangle? APS of Durham

    4. Favorite person-friendly spot in the Triangle? APS of Durham
