  • APS Dog of the Week - Liam

It's going to be a great weekend for dogs! The Broad Street Cafe is hosting Broad Street Barkfest, an evening full of fun, music and delicious food and brew benefiting APS of Durham and the Coalition to Unchain Dogs. We're happy to contribute a prize for the raffle (two bags of Barley Labs treats and a pint glass), and we're excited to attend the event! If you want to have a great time and support a couple of very worthy causes, come on out on Saturday at 6 p.m.!

In the meantime, help support APS by checking out and sharing with your family and friends the latest APS Dog of the Week, Liam:

    Name: Liam

    Breed/Gender: Lab/Pit Mix/Male

    Age: 18 months old

Personality: Liam really brightens up when he gets a chance to play – he LOVES toys, and also likes to chase a ball! He gets along with other dogs, preferring gentle, smaller canine friends. Liam is looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue to blossom.

Liam has been spending time at the home of one of the wonderful APS staff members. He’s been gentle and friendly with her two children, has nice house manners, and likes to play in her fenced yard with her playful small dog. Check out the APS Facebook page for cute pictures of Liam at her home.

Barley's thoughts: Lately, I keep hearing my people say the words "brother for Barley." Now that I'm a Google pro, I looked up this word "brother." I'd just like to state for the record that life has been pretty darn good being an only fur-kid and the apple of my people's eyes. I'm not quite sure I'm ready for a so-called brother. So it's a good thing that Liam prefers gentle, smaller canine friends because I am neither gentle nor small. Otherwise, based on my mama's instant "AWWWMYGOSH, HE'S SO CUTE" the moment Liam's picture came to her inbox, I'm pretty sure this brother concept would be a reality. That being said, I don't disagree that Liam is super cute and seems like a ton of fun so I'm sure he'd be a great addition to your family!
