Oh say can you...believe it's July?!?
We're not quite sure how it's possible that the year is more than half over, but July is a fantastic month. Not only did we celebrate our country's Independence Day, but APS of Durham is celebrating all-American dogs by offering a reduced adoption fees for pit bulls.
During the month of July, you can adopt a pit bull like this week's pet of the week Bella for $50. Learn more about this cutie below!
Breed/Gender: Pit mix/Female
Age: 1 year old
Personality: Likes her toys, loves food treats, and is very playful with other dogs (she might be a little too playful for some lower-key dogs!) Bella will be a wonderful companion for an active, committed family.
APS Kennel: 13
Barley's thoughts: It's story time with me, Barley. Long, long ago, in a far away land called Chicago, I was once the puppy who was a little too playful for lower-key dogs. In fact, at doggy daycare, I used to...umm...for lack of a better word...hump a dog named Prince to get him to play with me. Turns out, Prince was the daycare owner's dog. Whoops. Prince did eventually start playing with me, but I obviously don't condone that kind of behavior now that I'm a mature adult and VP-level business-woman. Thankfully, the nice daycare people realized I was just a young, eager pup and taught me more polite ways to play. I tell you this story because we playful pups like Bella and me mean well...we just need some guidance and a family who can help us find positive ways to let out all of our energy. If you're that family, stop by APS and meet Bella! With that sweet face, she'll be sure to make an active family happy!
