Your Purchase Contributes to a Local Rescue

We rescued our dog Barley from a shelter in Chicago in 2009, and she has changed our lives in ways we never would have imagined, including inspiring us to create Barley Labs. In 2014, we adopted our second dog Hops from a rescue right here in North Carolina.

Without the volunteers and staff who run these rescue organizations, our lives wouldn't be filled with the kind of love, laughter, and joy that our two dogs have brought to us. That's why we donate 10 cents from every bag of Barley Labs treats sold to rescue organizations. Learn more below.

Contributions from Original Barley Labs Dog Treats
We donate 10 cents from every bag of our original Barley Labs dog treats sold to the Animal Protection Society of Durham (APS of Durham), our local animal shelter in Durham, N.C. The mission of the APS of Durham is to educate the community about the humane care, treatment and well-being of all animals, to help stop pet overpopulation through the promotion of spay/neuter programs, and to find loving adoptive homes for the animals in our care.

Contributions from Mutt Mash Dog Treats
We donate 10 cents from every bag of Mutt Mash sold to Love Mutts Rescue, where we adopted our boy Hops. Love Mutts is a non-breed-specific dog rescue operating in central North Carolina and south central Virginia. They are a volunteer based, non-profit corporation run by a Board of Directors, and an IRS designated 501(c)-3 charity.

Contributions from Sweet Taters Dog Treats
We donate 10 cents from every bag of Sweet Taters sold to the SPCA of Wake County. The SPCA is dedicated to creating a more humane community where every adoptable animal has a home. Each year the organization rehomes over 3,400 animals through its innovative adoption programs.

We also donate treats and gifts to shelters and rescue organizations to use for fundraising.
